Cleaning & Sealing Grout

Cleaning Grout

  1. Always sweep or vacuum your grout joints prior to cleaning.
  2. Apply TILELab® Grout & Tile Cleaner or TILELab® Grout & Tile Cleaner & Resealer directly onto grout joints using either the spray bottle or a mop.
  3. Allow product to dwell for a few minutes (keeping wet), then scrub using a White Nylon Scrubbing Pad or bristle brush.
  4. Wipe or mop up liquid, then rinse with clean water.

Sealing Grout

New installations need to be cured 48 – 72 hours before application. Protect painted surfaces. Test product in an obscure area to ensure desirable results. The sealer can be applied 48 hours after the grout has been installed.

  1. Apply TILELab® Grout Sealer or TILELab® Grout Sealer - Aerosol liberally to grout joints in even coats.
  2. Allow sealer to penetrate 5 minutes. Wipe off excess.
  3. If absorbed, apply a second coat.
  4. The surface is sealed when sealer no longer penetrates.
  5. If a residue is visible on the tile surface, remove with water and sponge or white nylon pad 60 minutes after application.
