Cleaning & Sealing Grout
Cleaning Grout
- Always sweep or vacuum your grout joints prior to cleaning.
- Apply TILELab® Grout & Tile Cleaner or TILELab® Grout & Tile Cleaner & Resealer or directly onto grout joints using either the spray bottle or a mop.
- Allow product to dwell for a few minutes (keeping wet), then scrub using a white nylon scouring pad or bristle brush.
- Wipe or mop up liquid, then rinse with clean water.
Sealing Grout
New installations need to be cured 48 – 72 hours before application. Protect painted surfaces. Test product in an obscure area to ensure desirable results. The sealer can be applied 48 hours after the grout has been installed.
- Apply TILELab® Grout Sealer or TILELab® Grout Sealer - Aerosol liberally to grout joints in even coats.
- Allow to penetrate 5 minutes. Wipe off excess.
- If absorbed, apply a second coat.
- The surface is sealed when sealer no longer penetrates.
- If residue is visible on tile surface, remove with water and sponge or white nylon pad 60 minutes after application.
Caring for Grout
